Are you one who likes to try new things? Or do you balk at projects that are outside your perceived skill set?
I’m always playing around with different projects (see here). That’s why many remain unfinished, I’m sure. I will jump right in, and perhaps take many tries to get it
right acceptable. Regardless, in spite of many frustrations I do enjoy it. Every now and then, when I decide to make something, I get stuck. My problem lies in my memory. I can never remember how I accomplished something the previous time. So I begin again…from the beginning. Having said that, I am improving, somewhat.
We got the Affinity Photo and Designer programs a couple of years ago to make calendars to distribute in the community through our church. They are comprehensive in their capabilities, which means a lot of applications to recollect. Most of what I do is pretty straight forward, but I do like to play around with it, too. My cl boy loves Designer and is often making new things as he waits for his job as a/v guy at church to kick in. Sometimes I look to him for help–and sometimes, vice versa. That’s a big compliment when he looks to me for tech-related stuff!
Anyway, I’d like to share some of my more recent projects with you.
In this post, I told you I got some awesome buffalo check ribbon for wrapping this year’s Christmas gifts. I don’t know if I have enough to trim all of my packages, so I made some tags, too. You can get them here. I tried different ways to cut them out. I’m thinking a middle of the line border (the one on the left) and heavier twine. I also made a buffalo check banner, which you can get here and here.
And finally, just for fun, I made this 12×24 (you can print a smaller version on regular A4 paper) Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer printable. You can download it here.
Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas & wonderful New Year!
